* 1 Cup Brown Sugar
* 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
* 2 Eggs
* 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
* 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
* 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
* 1 Teaspoon Salt
* 2 Cups Flour
* 2 and 3/4 cups oatmeal

Making the Cookies
* Preheat the oven to three hundred and fifty degrees. What you’ll find is that, often times, cookies always cook at the same temperature. Some cook higher, but three fifty is typically what they’re cooked at.
* Put the butter and two different types of sugar into a bowl. With a fork or mixer, cream them all together so that it is entirely mixed.
* Crack the two eggs in one at a time, mixing between each egg.
* Add the vanilla. The higher the quality of vanilla, the better the taste of the cookie.
* Beat these until they are both light and fluffy
At this point, the cookie mix must be entirely combined. If there is sugar on the sides, use a spoon and scrape it down and continue mixing. As mentioned above, baking is a science and therefore, exact measurements help make the perfect cookies.
* Add the baking soda, powder, and salt into a separate bowl. Mix it all together and then add to dough bowl. Mix it all together.
* Add flour and oatmeal. Mix it all together.
* Add the chocolate chips. Mix everything together until combined.
* With the size of a teaspoon, put balls of cookie dough onto a baking sheet.
Baking cookies can be a little daunting. Not enough time and the cookie tastes really gooey. Too much time and the cookie is crispy and burnt on the bottoms. Therefore, it is important to pay close attention to the cookies as they cook. Put the cookies in the oven for 10-12 minutes and then remove them. Allow them to cool on a cooling rack and then serve with a glass of milk.
